Brook Shields actress pictures portray her as a much more mature child than she really was. She has said openly, that she really never had a child’s childhood. She was always made up to be a sexual figure, not a regular child. Her childhood as a normal child ended when she was eleven months old. She became the Ivory Snow Baby.

Some of Brook Shields actress pictures have been criticized for being very sensual and portrays a much older person. This would account for some of the films she starred in. “Pretty Baby” portrayed her as a much older child than what she was. The controversial isues that followed the movie stays with her even today.

Michael Jackson and Jodie Foster had a close friendship with Brook Shields because of all three being child stars with no childhood to say. She was just nine years old when she played in the movie “Holy Terror”. She was proclaimed the most photographed models in the world. She was rewarded by appearing on the cover of Cosmopolitan when she was just fifteen years old.

At the age of three, Brook was a runway model. Her mother pushed Brook to become a successful model. She had a very big portfolio which added to her career success. Brook Shields actress credits are far more than any child should have. She wrote a book when she was a teenager called “On Your Own” about staying a virgin and she did follow her own words as a teen. There was a lot of talk about it not being true because of the movies and commercials she did, but she stayed true to her own body.

Brook Shields was born in 1965 and by age of fourteen had played in eight movies and two television shows. She also was a model for Calvin Klein Jeans, appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine. She was schooled and graduated when she was eighteen years old. So she really didn’t have a lot of time to be a child.

She has said that she will not make her daughters give up their childhoods like her mother did with her. Brook Shields is estranged from her mother, but it has never really been said why. With a mother as famous as Teri Shields was, it was no doubt she would want her daughter to be famous also. Even at eleven months old she was not allowed to be a baby.

Being famous can be terrifying to a child, and Brook speaks about forming a bond with Jackson and Foster as a way to be in a safe place. When your only friends are as scared as you are, that doesn’t make for a secure childhood, full of fun and games.
